Job Description

Job description

Registered Manager – Residential Care Home
Location: Oldham
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
40-bed residential care home
CQC Rating: Good

I’m currently working with a well-regarded residential care home to recruit an experienced Registered Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take real ownership of a service, drive quality care, and lead a committed team in a home rated Good by the CQC.

The home has 40 beds and is well-established in the local community, with a strong team and supportive senior leadership. They're looking for a manager who shares their values and is passionate about maintaining high standards, while continuing to build on recent successes.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall management of the home. This includes ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, managing staff performance and development, maintaining budgetary oversight, and most importantly, ensuring residents receive safe, person-centred care.

You’ll be supported by a solid leadership structure, and have the autonomy to shape and lead the service in line with best practice and your own vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care
  • Lead and motivate the care team to maintain a positive and professional culture
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with CQC regulations and all statutory requirements
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff
  • Manage budgets, rotas, and resources effectively
  • Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
  • Drive continuous improvement and maintain quality assurance systems

What I'm Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
  • Proven leadership and people management skills
  • A passion for delivering excellent care and making a difference
  • Confidence in managing all aspects of running a care service

What’s on Offer

  • Salary up to £50,000 depending on experience
  • A stable, supportive environment with a strong existing team
  • Scope to put your own stamp on the home and lead it forward
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities
  • A genuinely rewarding role with the chance to make a real impact

If you’re an experienced manager looking for a fresh challenge—or a confident deputy ready to step up—please get in touch. I’d be happy to talk you through the opportunity in more detail and answer any questions.
