About the Role

My client, a well-established and highly reputable care provider, is seeking an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead a 61 bedded Nursing home specialising in Nursing, Residential or Dementia care in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated individual to oversee the daily operations of a care home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and team leadership. This homes current CQC rating is ‘Requires Improvement’. Therefore, the ideal candidate will need to have experience in improving CQC ratings.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the well-being of residents, the smooth running of the home, and leading a team of care professionals to deliver outstanding care. This role requires strong leadership, compliance knowledge, and operational management skills.

Key Responsibilities

 Provide strong leadership across all areas of the home, including care, catering, housekeeping, and maintenance.
Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and maintain high-quality care standards.
Promote a person-centered approach, ensuring residents’ independence, dignity, and choices are prioritized.
Manage staff recruitment, inductions, supervisions, and appraisals.
Oversee financial budgets and ensure the home operates within agreed parameters.
Lead on marketing and occupancy strategies to maintain high resident levels.
Ensure all aspects of medicine management are in line with regulatory requirements.
Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
Act as a mentor, developing and supporting staff to reach their full potential.

Requirements

  • RMN Registered
  • Previous experience as a Registered Home Manager or Deputy Manager looking to step up.
  • Proven turnaround experience, with the ability to improve CQC ratings and overall home performance.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, occupancy, and staff performance.
